Type XBC/XBD vertical long shaft fire fighting pumps are series of single stage, multistage diffusers pumps, the products were used in substation, oil depot, PRO-pier, oil drilling platform and so on the key unit of firefighting where lack of running water supplying with its feature of less occupied area. Type XBC/XBD products were developed from the domestic & international advantage hydraulic model and design theory of construction. They were used to transferred the clear water, sea water with temperature blow 55º C

Construction
Type XBC/XBD vertical long shaft fire fighting pumps started without exhausting vacuum, the rotor running direction is counter-clock wise view from the motor or right angle gear box.
Installation:
Generally speaking, the pump units were mounted on the common plate

Usually, the discharge was above and/or under the mounting foundation if required
3\The bear way of axial thrust:
1)\The weight of rotor and axial thrust were bear by the bearing fixed on the pump as the pump drived by common vertical motor.
2)\The weight of rotor and axial thrust were bear by the bearing fixed on the motor as the pump drived by vertical motor with thrust bearings in it
3)\The weight of rotor and axial thrust were bear by the bearing fixed on the right angle gear box as the pump drived though right angle gear box with thrust bearings in it.
4\Lubrication of guide bearings:
Lubricating water from the pump itself: The guide bearings could be lubricated by the transferred liquid if the liquid is clear water or others similar to water.
Lubricating water from outside: The guide bearings could be lubricated by the clear water from outside if the liquid isn't clear water or others. (after turned off the pump, the automatic closed sealing system could prevent the precipitation into guide bearings)
5\Lubrication of thrust bearing:
Thrust bearing lubricated in thin oil usually (grease lubricated for small pumps). The lubrication oil be cooled by the cooling water from the cooling jacket fixed on the bearing body assembly.
6\Pump and motor couplings
Flexible couplings: Flexible couplings are adopted between motor and pump as the axial thrust bear by pump.
Rigid couplings: Rigid couplings are adopted between motor and pump as the axial thrust bear by motor.
